When using the push to start, it reacts in the same manner as if I'm not depressing the brake even though it's fully engaged. If you have a multimeter you can check the battery for correct voltage. With another person, you could have them try to start it while checking the voltage at the battery terminals. Dont rule out the starter just yet. A bad starter will make a good battery appear to be bad because it may be slowly draining it.
