One of the stator leads should have a diode after it comes out of the tinwork and usually right before a connector that mates with the tractor harness. Wire with diode goes to the battery. Wire without the diode goes to the light circuit only. Garry. Bypass the PTO switch. If that doesn't fix it, bypass the clutch switch. Once you have determined which switch is the culprit, hook the other switch back up and make sure it still works. Then get some new switches and correct the problem properly. That will fit a K241S, K301S, K321S, and K341S. However, you will be paying an arm and a leg for a genuine Kohler brand starter. Just search eBay or Amazon. There is a drain plug in the bottom of the transmission just to the left of the hitch. It should use a 1/4" Allen wrench to remove.
