You can attack through the window with a spear. If you put 3 or 4 planks on either side, you can no longer see and you can no longer attack through it. The ability to see and attack through the window is important. A zombie cannot break it down, if you kill him with a spear. Tall bookshelf. Only thing that works currently. On the outside you can park a car up against a window and it'll protect it from zombies as well. Just to check the obvious here: you can nail planks to the windows, on both inside and outside, to barricade it. Think theres also welding metal bars for more durability.
